Benzinga's Top ETF Gainers (UCO, SSG, PALL, GAZ)
ProShares Trust ProShares Ultra DJ-UBS Crude Oil (NYSE: UCO) jumped 4.12% today, as crude oil added approximately 1.6%. Better than expected results from Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM), Royal Dutch Shell plc (ADR)
(NYSE: RDS.A) and Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) encouraged investors to buy oil today.
Semiconductor stocks were struggling today, and ProShares UltraShort Semiconductors(ETF) (NYSE: SSG) jumped 3.42%. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) fell 2.51% to $7.78.
Precious metals traded higher today and palladium was the best in the group, with an increase of approximately 4%. ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NYSE: PALL) gained 3.65%, and closed at $48.28.
The iPath Dow Jones-AIG Natural Gas Total Return Sub-Index ETN (NYSE: GAZ) gained 3.02% on the strength in natural gas prices. Natural gas added approximately 2.4% today.
