Metals Mixed, Palladium Plunging
The metals market is mixed this morning, with gold and silver higher, and everything else lower. Equities have firmly moved lower after some mixed economic data this morning.
Copper is down 5.1 cents to trade at $4.3440, a loss of just over 1.1%.
Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE: JJC) is down 60 cents to $56.86, a loss of 1%.
Silver is up sharply, up $1.48 to $41.57, as it looks like $45 is the next mark for the precious metal.
Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) are up 89 cents this morning, to trade at $40.71, a gain of 2.2%.
Gold is down $26.60 an ounce to $1,671.10, a gain of 1.6%.
Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE: GLD) are up $1.15 to $162.67.
Platinum is down $6.30 an ounce, trading at $1,787.20, a loss of 0.35%.
The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ: PLTM) is up 17 cents this morning to trade at $26.31, a gain of 0.65%.
Palladium is down $18.20 an ounce today, trading at $809.50.
Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ: PALL) are sharply lower today, down $1.81 to $80.01.
