Tim Geithner Urges For Comprehensive Financial Reform

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is of the opinion that economic stability will be possible only if there are comprehensive regulatory reforms which match up with the needs of the twenty first century. He plans to put a point before the Joint Economic Committee that "recovery alone is not enough".

Geithner also told a small-business financing forum that tighter credit for small businesses will hurt the recovery and that banks should lend more to smaller companies.
