Yellen Expected To Be Appointed As The New Fed Vice Chairman

Janet Yellen is tipped to be the new vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. President Barak Obama is planning to nominate Janet Yellen, currently president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, people in the know said.

Janet is one of the most influential officials at the U.S. central bank. A respected macroeconomist, her views on the outlook are known to be sought after by colleagues. It was also reported that the White House has selected two other nominees to fill vacancies on the seven-member board, but the names of those nominees couldn't be immediately learned.
