This Morning's Economic Releases

There are a few economic numbers coming out this morning which investors may want to pay attention to.

At 8:30 a.m., personal income for July is going to be released. It is expected to a show a rise 0f 0.2% in consumer's paychecks. The prior reading showed no change in personal income.

Also coming out at 8:30 a.m. is personal spending. Consumers are expected to show an increase of 0.3% in their spending habits, up from a 0.1% rise in the prior reading.

The last economic report being released this morning is the PCE core prices. This report is also released at 8:30 a.m., and it's expected to show a reading of 0.1%, up from the prior months reading of 0.0%.

The first two reports are generally seen as market movers, the last one not as much.

At last check, futures were slightly lower going into these reports.

The Dow futures were down 15 points, S&P futures were down 0.5 point and the NASDAQ futures were down 1 point.
