Tokyo, June 29 (Jiji Press)--Retail gasoline prices in Japan as of Monday were flat from a week before after 15 consecutive weeks of increases, as crude oil prices fell following Britain's vote last week to leave the European Union, a government survey showed Wednesday. Regular gasoline sold for an average of 124.0 yen per liter on Monday, the Natural Resources and Energy Agency said. Pump prices "are expected to fall slightly next week" due to continued weakness in crude prices, said an official at the Oil Information Center, which conducts the price survey for the government agency. Gasoline prices grew in 23 of Japan's 47 prefectures. Hyogo saw a rise of 1.4 yen, while Ehime had a gain of 1.1 yen. Prices dropped in 21 prefectures, including Kanagawa, with a fall of 1.1 yen, and Okayama, down 0.9 yen. Prices were flat in Tochigi and two others.Copyright JIJI PRESS LTD.
