Metals Mixed, Palladium Cratering (SLV, GLD, JJC, PALL, PLTM)
The metals market is mixed today, with palladium plunging more than 2%. Equities are lower, as S&P revised its outlook on U.S. debt, which is sending shock-waves through the markets.
Copper is down 3.55 cents this morning, trading at $4.2220, a loss of 0.83%.
Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE: JJC) is down 52 cents to $55.87, a loss of nearly 1%.
Silver is down 3 cents, despite being up nearly as much as $1 following the downgrade.
Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) are down 37 cents this morning, to trade at $41.47, a loss of 0.9%.
Gold is up $3 an ounce to $1,489.00, a gain of 0.2% this morning.
Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE: GLD) are down 14 cents to $144.91.
Platinum is down $7.70 an ounce, trading at $1,787.10, a loss of nearly 0.4%.
The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ: PLTM) is down $1.30 this morning to trade at $30.88,a loss of 4.04%.
Palladium is plunging, down $20.10 an ounce today, trading at $748.00, a loss of 2.6% today.
Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ: PALL) are sharply lower today, down $2.19 to $74.04.
