Metals All Lower, Copper Down Sharply (SLV, GLD, JJC, PALL, PLTM)

The metals market is down sharply today, with copper falling the most on comments Fed President James Bullard made over the weekend that QE2 could end early.

Copper is down 5.4 cents this morning, trading at $4.365, a loss of 1.2%.

Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF (NYSE: JJC) is down 69 cents to $57.92, a loss of 1.2%.

Silver is lower today, down 14 cents to $36.88, a loss of nearly 0.5%.

Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF (NYSE: SLV) are down 39 cents this morning, to trade at $36.00, a loss of slightly over 1%.

Gold is down $6.70 an ounce to $1,419.50, a loss of 0.5% this morning.

Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF (NYSE: GLD) are down $1.05 to $138.21.

Platinum is down $5.70 an ounce, trading at $1,744.00, a loss of 0.33%.

The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index (NASDAQ: PLTM) is up 40 cents this morning to trade at $32.12, a loss of 1.5%.

Palladium is down $3.45 an ounce today, trading at $746.95, a loss of 0.5%.

Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares (NASDAQ: PALL) are lower on the session, down 51 cents to $74.13.
