Direxion Daily Energy Bull 3X (ETF) (NYSE: ERX) is leading the gainers among the ETFs today. ERX is 9.09% up as Apache Corporation (NYSE: APA) and Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM) gained 3.24% and 2.89% respectively.
Dow Chemical (NYSE: DOW) jumped approximately 4% and helped ProShares Ultra Basic Materials (ETF) (NYSE: UYM) to gain 6.97%.
Natural gas futures are up 5.7% and United States Natural Gas Fund, LP (NYSE: UNG) gained 5.5% in today's trading session.
ProShares Ultra Oil & Gas (ETF) (NYSE: DIG) is another ETF that profited from the rising prices in the energy sector. Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) is a component of The Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index, which is followed by DIG. Anadarko Petroleum (APC) is 2.3% up today.
