Analysts at UBS (NYSE: UBS) have made changes to their US Alpha Preferences.

Analysts have added Sun Microsystems Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA) to their Least Preferred list as they feel that the upside from current levels is limited given the $9.50 takeout bid from Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL). Analysts at UBS expect the deal to close in the next few months as the anti –competitive concerns raised by the European Commission are no longer a risk to the deal.

Analysts at UBS have removed Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) from the Least Preferred list. Even though the company faces more competitive price pressures and launch of competitor products at upcoming trade shows, analysts have removed Research In Motion from the Least Preferred list due to the recent sell-off in shares.
