Heartland Payment Systems, Inc. (HPY) Maintains A Neutral Rating

Analysts Andrew W Jeffrey and Richard Cheever at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey have maintained a Neutral rating for Heartland Payment Systems, Inc. (NYSE: HPY).
Analysts believe that the company is operating a competitively disadvantaged model in an increasingly competitive domestic merchant acquiring market. The company is also struggling with economies of scale, according to SunTrust analysts.
Analysts believe that the Heartland Payment Systems, Inc. stock has likely gained as investors expect a rebound in domestic merchant activity, and organic revenue growth.
Analysts at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey have lowered the EPS estimates for the company for 2010, and 2011. The EPS for 2010 has been lowered from $0.92 to $0.91, while the EPS for 2011 has been lowered from $1.09 to $1.04.
