Upcoming Release Of 'Battlefield 1' Likely To Continue Electronic Arts' Hot Streak

looks to continue its recent run up and strong product lineup with the upcoming release of "Battlefield 1" on October 21.

The game has already received some rave reviews. "The advance impression has been very positive, consistent with beta reviewers. Many called Battlefield 1 the best Battlefield game," Oppenheimer analysts said.

Electronic Arts is already coming off some hot releases in previous months with FIFA 2017 and Madden 2017 that have both have received very positively.

As a result of Electronic Arts' hot streak, Oppenheimer has upped its price target on the company from $88 to $94, highlighted by some slight changes the company has made in its game strategy that appeal to both the new and old fan base.

Oppenheimer has also raised FY18 EPS and revenue figures to $5.3 billion/4.47 up from $5.2 billion/$4.19.

"Initial reviews of the core titles this calendar year give us confidence that EA will deliver what it promised: leaner development cost through a shared game engine, and a focus on game quality and portfolio strength," the analysts said.

Oppenheimer maintains its Outperform rating on Electronic Arts.

At last check, Electronic Arts was up 1.19 percent at $82.73.
