While analyst may have had a difficult time deciphering General Motors Corp GM’s all-emoji press release about the new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, they certainly have a lot to say following the English-language statement about the latest Cruze model released this week.

On Wednesday, Goldman Sachs downgraded GM and encouraged investors instead to buy shares of American rival Ford Motor Co FWill the new Cruze provide the boost that GM shareholders need? Here’s what several analysts had to say.

Jack Nerad, editorial director and market analyst, Kelly Blue Book’s KBB.com
Jack Nerad sees the Cruze continuing to prove the exception to the trend of an Asian-dominated small car market. “While compact sedans have lost some momentum in America as buyers have turned to crossovers, the Cruze is likely to buck this trend,” Nerad explains.

Michelle Krebs, senior analyst, Autotrader
Michelle Krebs praises the new 2016 Cruze’s amenities, technology and “handsome” design, but notes that the Cruze will be facing an uphill battle in the U.S. market. “Unfortunately, in the U.S., utilities are the rage, and Chevy is introducing the Cruze into a challenging market.”

Eric Ibara, senior analyst, Kelly Blue Book’s KBB.com
Eric Ibara sees the Cruze and the Malibu as major launches when it comes to the Chevrolet’s attractive new styling. “This year, with the launch of the Cruze and the Malibu, Chevrolet will extend its design DNA into the mainstream segments where the majority of sedans are sold.”

Ashkay Anand, analyst, Kelly Blue Book’s KBB.com
According to Ashkay Anand, the design of the new Cruze should produce a strong launch for the model. “The Cruze takes DNA from some recent Chevy restyles such as the Malibu and really hits the nail on the head in terms of styling improvements,” Anand explains.
