On Thursday JP Morgan issued a company update on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ;AAPL) and Microsoft Corporation
MSFT
after Microsoft's Build Develop conference keynote. At the conference Microsoft stated that Windows 10 is intended to be run on PCs, mobile devices, and Xbox One. Rod Hall, an analyst at JP Morgan wrote, "This should drastically increase developer support for Windows based mobile products since it should allow for easier porting of code from desktop applications. Not only that but we believe it pre-empts Apple moving toward our iAnywhere concept – we wonder if Apple will make a move on iAnywhere at WWDC this year. In addition, MSFT said that Windows devices will now interpret and run both Objective-C and Android code." At the conference Microsoft further showed off their technological advances, showcasing a real demo of the HoloLens concept video they had shown at the technology's debut back in January. JP Morgan believes that this may be the future of PC interfaces. Microsoft is presenting itself as a formidable challenger to Apple by improving its operating systems and the compatibility of its mobile devices with its applications and software packages. Currently shares of Microsoft are trading at $49.28, up 0.45 percent. Currently shares of Apple are trading at $125.56, down 2.4 percent.
