In a report published Thursday, JMP Securities analysts downgraded the rating on
Informatica Corp.INFA
from Market Outperform to Market Perform. The downgrade comes in the wake of the pending acquisition of Informatica by $25B European PE Fund Permira and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) for $48.75/share. "We believe investors should use Informatica as a source of funds given the pending acquisition," the analysts mentioned. Informatica announced its 1Q15 results with in-line non GAAP EPS of $0.34 but disappointing revenue of $251 million. "The greater-than-expected pressure on the company's license revenues may help explain Informatica's willingness to sell its business," the analysts stated.
