Morningstar Chief Economist Robert Johnson On Friday's Jobs Report

Morningstar Chief Economist Robert Johnson spoke to Benzinga on the Friday jobs report.

Johnson said, “It was better than I had expected, I thought that maybe the jump we got in November would eventually reverse itself but it hasn’t."

All categories of the report looked good, according to Johnson, who was also “pleased to see wages” to pick up.

Johnson was also encouranged by a lack of end-of-year revisions with no “earth-shattering changes” to past results and concluded that it was great news that “more people are looking for work” according to the data.
