In a note out this morning, analyst Jason Kupferberg of Jefferies comments on the positive vibes from a recent meeting with MasterCard
MA
management. He maintained his Buy rating on the stock. Key Takeaways 1) MA is generally bullish on US consumer spending 2) refreshed long-term guidance probably won't come until mid-late 2015 3) Apple Pay may see more initial success with in-app payments than in-store 4) tokenization is unlikely to become a meaningful new revenue driver He goes on to say: "Future M&A focused on value-added services. Going forward we believe MA may target M&A opportunities with an eye toward enhancing the company's value-added offerings. Deals may fall into areas such as payments security, loyalty & rewards, and processing. Our unchanged $94 PT is based on 24x our C15 EPS estimate of $3.53 and DCF. Risks include consumer spending and regulation." Shares of MA were last quoted at 89.28, up 0.57 percent.
