Everyone has a smartphone, computer and/or tablet. For alternative gift-giving ideas, Benzinga turned to Santa's little helpers (AKA tech analysts) to see what belongs under the Christmas tree.

Sean Udall, CIO of Quantum Trading Strategies and author of The TechStrat Report, is a big fan of the

from Alienware. He referred to the Extreme edition as an "amazing" and "top-of-the-line" machine. "The form factor of their box is really efficient," Udall told Benzinga. "It's not a huge desktop box or case. It's about the size of an Xbox, actually. It might even be a little smaller. I was really impressed." There are a handful of things that FBR Capital Markets analyst Daniel Ives wants and recommends. "For me it's a GoPro [and] wireless Beats headphones," Ives told Benzinga. "Those are at the top of [the] list, followed by a few new Xbox games. 'NBA 2K15' is what I have my eye on. I have played 'Titanfall' and like that too!"

Rob Enderle, principal analyst at Enderle Group, might have the perfect gift for big spenders: a high-end drone. "You do need to do your homework here," Enderle told Benzinga. "First decide what it is you want to do, and then pick up the drone [that's right for you]. The AR.Drone is something that's easy and [is] relatively inexpensive. They're a good path to start." Enderle said that "serious" drone users should consider the DJI Phantom 2 Vision. "It's probably the best on the market," he said, noting its price range of $799 to $1,299 (down from $1,499). There's also a cheaper version for $679, but it lacks the camera and other features. "The reason it's best, it'll fly up to 2,100 feet while the camera aims down," Enderle added. "Almost anything you can imagine you can do with this. So you're pretty much future-proof. But you gotta be a little careful making sure you don't fly [it] into a plane."

Dan Miller, senior analyst and founder of

, thinks the Amazon Echo is a "fascinating" product. "There's a debate about whether, you know, here's a solution that seeks a problem," Miller told Benzinga. "I don't think there's a better way to find out whether a household intelligent assistant that is speech-activated has [potential]. It seems like a real affordable way to sort of initiate your intelligent home automation strategy." Echo could prove to be a great gift for consumers who value rare technology. Albert Fried analyst Rich Tullo is intrigued by wearables and HDMI dongles (Chromecast, Fire TV Stick, etc.), but he thinks Ultra High-Definition TVs will reign supreme this Christmas. "That's hardly a stocking stuffer or gadget, but I think as people go into the store and see that the prices have come down from many thousands to a thousand, that'll [boost sales]," Tullo told Benzinga. "And maybe a flashback with what was old is new again -- laptops. I think notebooks are gonna be pretty popular this Christmas." Disclosure:
