. TechCrunch.com reported recently that the phone's 3D technology is supplied by Japan's OMRON Corp. (TYO:6645) The 3D effect is created with four infrared projectors that track the user's face position so that certain screen images appear to move in three dimensions relative to the user's movement. In a research note, UBS analyst Arthur Hsieh said serving as a Fire Phone supplier is “an incremental positive for the involved companies,” but not likely a make-or break proposition. Nonetheless, Hsieh said the phone's camera lense supplier is Largan (3008.TW) and Sunny Optical (2382.HK) is the camera module supplier. Hsieh said other suppliers incude ZDT, (4958.TW) Career Tech, (6153.TW) and Unimicron (3037.TW).
