In a report published Tuesday, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster reiterated an Overweight rating on
GoogleGOOG
, and raised the price target from $985.00 to $1,263.00. In the report, Piper Jaffray noted, “Based on our tests of 800 voice queries, Google Now improved to a C+ from a D- in our testing last December. In our Dec-13 tests, Google Now and Siri were both able to answer a total of 79% of queries asked. We highlight that Google Now has been gaining on Apple's Siri in terms of correct answers in the commerce and local categories, but it still lags significantly in OS commands. We believe that as a part of the Moto X/G and Google Glass roll-outs, Google has focused more on improving Android's ability to interpret and answer voice commands specifically toward controlling the OS. Separately, we are increasing our price target to $1,263 from $985.” Google closed on Monday at $1,078.14.
