In a report published Wednesday, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Ajay Jain reiterated a Buy rating on Walgreen Company (NYSE: WAG), and raised the price target from $45.00 to $49.00.

In the report, Jain noted, “We've raised our price target for Walgreen to $49 from $45 following better than expected 2Q:13 results and the positive long-term implications based on strategic developments with AmeriSource Bergen, with whom Walgreen has a 10-year comprehensive supply agreement. We expect comparisons will be extremely favorable over the balance of FY:13.”

Walgreen Company closed on Tuesday at $44.74.
