MKM Partners analyst Israel Hernandez believes news of Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) Steven Sinofsky departing is a "clear negative for the stock." Hernandez said the timing of the departure could indicate Windows 8 and/or the Surface may not be meeting internal expectations. The analyst noted Sinofsky was at one point thought to be the lead candidate to replace Steve Ballmer.
