Stifel Nicolaus raised its price target on American Capital Agency Corp (NASDAQ: AGNC) from $32.50 to $35.50 and maintained its Buy rating.

Stifel Nicolaus commented, "With agency REIT stocks moving higher, and two recently announced capital raises, it has invited the question of who might be next and whether to trade in front of it. In our view there is unusual uncertainty about AGNC's book value today, and ultimately book value is likely to drive how any trading strategy around the stock plays out. For longer term investors we simply suggest holding on. For faster money we suggest careful consideration."

American Capital Agency Corp closed at $34.27 on Wednesday.
