Sterne Agee Comments on Apple's Mac Refresh
Sterne Agee has published a research report on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) announcement of new Mac offerings at WWDC 2012.
In the report, Sterne Agee writes, "AAPL has increased native SSD storage in the Mac Air 13" to 256GB from prior 128GB as shown in the table below (the Mac Air 13" at 128GB and the 15" at 256GB). AAPL ships about 13-14M Macs a year, with 60%+ being MacBook Airs. This should be a modest tailwind for the NAND market, even as OEMs are not increasing any 2H NAND supply. But also note, that the SSDs in the prior models could be manually upgraded to higher densities if needed (though rarely done), so this should help."
Sterne Agee maintains its Buy rating on Apple, which closed yesterday at $571.17.
