Visa, Inc. (V) Reports Strong Results For First-Quarter

Visa, Inc. (NYSE: V) has posted strong results for the first-quarter. The company reported revenue of $1.96 billion, an increase of 13%. The revenue came in ahead of consensus forecast of $1.92 billion. The EPS of $1.02 for the quarter beat the consensus forecast of $0.91.
Analysts at Morgan Keegan have raised FY10 EPS estimate to $3.59 from $3.52. According to analysts at Morgan Keegan, the forward indication points to high end of 11%-15% revenue growth target, rather than previous expectations for low end of that range. Morgan Keegan has an Outperform rating for Visa, Inc.
Analysts at CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets have also maintained their Buy rating for the company. Analysts at CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets have also raised the EPS estimate from $3.70 to $3.83 for 2010. The price target has also been raised from $100 to $105.
