Oppenheimer provided color on Midwest regional banks. In a research report published today, Oppenheimer named the top performers.
The report states, "The five best-performing Midwest bank stocks year-to-date are Independent
Bancorp (
IBCP), Princeton National Bancorp (
PNBC), Bank of Kentucky
(
BKYF), QCR Holdings (
QCRH), and Guaranty Federal Bancshares (
GFED). All
of these banks are nano- or small-cap stocks, with market caps ranging from
$17M to $188M."
On Wednesday, Independent Bancorp
IBCP lost 2.43% of its value to close the day at $2.01. Another loser was Princeton National Bancorp
PNBC, which fell 1.05% to $5.65. Bank of Kentucky
BKYF added 0.79% to its value to close the day at $25.45. Guaranty Federal Bancshares
GFED rose 1.35% to $6. Finally, QCR Holdings
QCRH closed the day at $8.90.
