S&P Equity Research doesn't believe that the explosives found on UPS
UPS and FedEx
FDX shipping facilities will have any real impact on the stocks.
In a research note, S&P wrote, "We think the interception of these packages shows that security is working, and think new heightened security measures will ease public fear and improve chances [of] further detection. We do not expect any major behavioral changes on the part of consumers, and believe any impact on the stocks of these companies is likely to be limited in duration and minimal."
Shares of both companies were both up less than 1% in early Monday trading.
