Dahlman Rose and Co. has thoughts on the airlines industry. In the research report, Dahlman Rose covers AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), Alaska Air Group, Inc. (NYSE: ALK) and AMR Corporation (NYSE: AMR).

In the research report, Dahlman Rose writes, "A major positive for the US airline industry this year has been the lack of capacity growth. Even perceived capacity growth puts pressure on the stocks as investors currently prefer to see fares, rather than capacity rise. Most of the major US airlines have very few aircraft deliveries scheduled through 2011, and the manufacturers are sold out for the next 18 months, even if they wanted to take delivery of new aircraft."
