Oppenheimer Initiates Enbridge Energy at Neutral (EEP)

Oppenheimer & Co. initiated Enbridge Energy Partners (NYSE: EEP) at a Perform rating today. Oppenheimer did not establish a price target on the stock.

Enbridge Energy Partners, L.P. is engaged in owning and operating crude oil and liquid petroleum transportation and storage assets, and natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and marketing assets in the United States.

Oppenheimer notes that Enbridge "has a low business risk profile, a strong and supportive parent company (Enbridge Inc.) and investment-grade debt ratings."

Further, analysts point out that "The company is also working on a number of attractive organic growth projects in promising areas of the US."

Shares of Enbridge Energy are down 0.8% this afternoon, to $54.52.
