Jefferies Out With Thoughts On Consumer Products Sector (AVP)
In the report Jefferies & Co. writes, "“Momentum indicators” for these companies generally remained strong in the 2Q. HLF saw the strongest acceleration, with sizable sequential advances in Average Active Sales Leaders, volume points and organic growth, while NUS again saw strong acceleration in growth of both Average Executive distributors and organic sales. USNA saw sequential acceleration in salesforce activity, though organic sales growth decelerated. Generally speaking, momentum indicators saw deceleration at TUP and AVP, though each is obfuscated somewhat by one-off issues in specific markets (Russia for TUP, China for AVP)."
Shares of Avon Products, Inc. are flat in early Monday trading. Shares of Tupperware Brands Corporation are down 11 cents to $40.15.
