Media & Entertainment Companies’ Outlook is Positive

Brian S. Shipman, Kip Paulson and Robert E. McManus, analysts at Jefferies and Company, indicate that in spite of moderate consumer demand, companies are continuing to advertise.

Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS), Viacom (NYSE: VIA) and CBS Corp (NYSE: CBS) have significant upside potential and Buy ratings from the analysts. Also, Discovery Communications (NASDAQ: DISCA) and Scripps Networks Interactive (NYSE: SNI), which have Hold ratings from analysts, have upside potential from advertising revenue as companies with cash push their brands.

EPS estimates for CBS Corp, Discovery Communications and Scripps Networks Interactive were raised by the analysts.
