KBW Examines Impact of Financial Reform on Asset Managers

Following the Congressional agreement on financial regulation reform, analysts at KBW issued a research note on the bill's potential impact on asset managers.

KBW believes that "for the most part, asset managers remained largely out of the bullseye of financial reform." They claimed that the bill's "direct impact to asset manager are minor at worst."

However, the analysts cautioned that there could be other reforms buried within the 2000-page bill that "may be difficult to assess at this time.
