Eric Schmidt Will Get Another Big Deal (GOOG)

Eric Schmidt is the CEO of Google
GOOG
for another couple of months, until Larry Page becomes CEO and Schmidt becomes Chairman of the company. He's already starting to cash in on this news, as reports came out that he supposedly tried out to be a
talk show host,
and he's received $100 million from Google as a parting gift. Last week after the announcement, Schmidt announced in an SEC filing that he would be
selling $335 million worth of Google stock,
a paltry sum in comparison to his near $6 billion worth of holdings in the name. Many are speculating that Schmidt could go to work in Washington, but public service isn't likely to pay that much. The talk show host gig, that's another story. From his years at Google, Schmidt has made extensive contacts around the world, including celebrities, politicians, entrepreneurs and other famous people. Eric Schmidt certainly has a funny personality, as evidenced by his
twitter account,
and he could do well on TV. He's a natural ham, and has a good personality that seems to get along with most people. Just take a look at
this picture,
and you'll see he has personality, sort of like the comforting dad in an 80's sitcom. Some have speculated that he is
being pushed out of Google,
but if that is indeed true, it seems like Schmidt will just go straight to Hollywood. He'll go from being pushed out of the world's largest search engine, probably into a huge payday on our TV's late at night.
