Summary:
Crown Holdings' adjusted earnings per share dipped 6% year over year to $0.48 per share. The company expects conditions in North America and Europe to improve. Capacity additions in Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as the start-up of a new facility in Brazil will aid in continued global beverage can growth. Further, share repurchases and cost reduction activities will also boost earnings. However, a seasonally slower first quarter, loss of a customer, pricing pressure in China and high debt levels remain concerns. We have thus initiated our coverage on Crown Holdings with a Neutral recommendation and a target price of $46.
