TE Connectivity Ltd. TEL recently unveiled its troika of novel fiber solutions at the Optical Fiber Communication OFC Conference in San Francisco. However, the news failed to raise market sentiment, as the company's stock price fell 1.7% to close at $57.89 on Mar 11.

TE Connectivity is focused on expanding its presence in the fiber optics industry and hence is pursuing research and development to meet the rising demand. Notably, the company launched the Coolbit optical engine, powered fiber cable system and thermal adhesive coated TAC fiber system to broaden its portfolio fiber solutions.

The company's Coolbit optical engine will enhance the Ethernet and InfiniBand applications by providing speedy and efficient connectivity solutions while consuming less power. Its fiber cable system optimizes the installation process by integrating the power supply, cable and powering units for the easy deployment of small cell and other devices for efficient network access.

This system cuts down on the requirement of electrical design calculations by providing a competent powering system. The TAC system is designed to offer better indoor fiber installation. It consists of a dispenser tool, fiber cable and adhesive for fast and easy installations.

These three solutions are designed to aid network service providers to improve their competence while also increasing the flexibility and profitability of networks.

TE Connectivity currently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Other stocks in the industry which look promising at the moment include CTS Corp. CTS, Active Power Inc. ACPW and Ballard Power Systems Inc. BLDP.
