According to AppleInsider, Apple is planning on refreshing its iMac all-in-one desktop lineup this Tuesday, May 3rd. The refresh is expected to bring Intel's Core i5/i7 “Sandy Bridge” architecture to the iMac, as well as the new Thunderbolt port featured on the recently refreshed MacBook Pro line. Apple last released new iMac computers in the summer of 2010, so without a doubt, the line is due for a refresh.

A completely new design for the next iMac is also being rumored, but this rumor seems very unlikely since Apple updated the design of the iMac just a few years ago.
