Announcing Updates to the iPhone App

Share

OptionsHouse released the first generation of its iPhone app early last month (see this blog entry for all the details).  After listening to your initial feedback through email and during last week's iPhone webinar, we have released the first update – Version 1.2 – now available in the iTunes store.

This second build has added a lot of what customers have been requesting. Some of the improvements include:

-Swipe gestures: With a swipe of the finger, toggle between option-chain fields such as bid/ask, open interest/volume, delta/gamma, and more.  You can also now swipe to cycle through charts or to quickly delete a leg from your order ticket.

- Pin passcode: Set up a four-digit code for extra security and quicker app access. From the More tab, click on Settings to turn the passcode lock on or off.  Session time (logged-in time) is now also configurable – you can set the time of your default session to 5, 15, or 30 minutes.

-Account nickname support: View your accounts by their nicknames rather than by account number.

-Filtering orders: View all of your orders or just specific types: Filled, Cancelled, Pending, Open, and Partially filled.

-Display of non-standard options. Note that you will have to set your preferences by clicking on the info button from the chain before these will be visible.  Non-standard deliverables will be designated by an asterisk in the options chain.

-Expanded order details: The orders page now shows the fill price for each leg as well as the stop price for stop-limit orders.

-One-button spread replication.

-Configuration, speed, and stability enhancements.

We will continue to make updates to the app and will take your feedback into account when doing so. And for all of you vocal Android fanatics out there, our developers are aware of your requests!  Please keep an eye on the blog for future updates.

Once again, you can leave any comments or questions on this blog post or send an email to feedback@optionshouse.com, referencing the iPhone app in the subject line.
