European markets close lower; Dax down 2.01%

Forex Pros - European stocks were down after the closing bell on Wednesday.

At the close of European trade, Germany's DAX fell 2.01%, London's FTSE 100 shed 1.70%, France's CAC 40 declined 2.23% and the EURO STOXX 50 was down 2.26%.

Meanwhile, on Wall Street, equity markets were down after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.67%; the S&P 500 index shed 1.63%, while the Nasdaq 100 index declined 2.12%.
